I have a fair amount of trouble with the statement that the religion, whether Islam or any other religion, is evil in itself. Heck, if our civilization and society remained intact after watching movies like 'Evil Dead' and 'The Silence of The Lambs', why blame Quran ? You might as well blame Britney Spears.... But yes, I do think a large %age of followers of Islam need to be watched carefully...
