I pretty much agree with you on your statement on NOVL, and look forward to the imminent flames of the pro-NOVL readers.

My analysis comes from the computer industry, where I have been working since the late seventies...

True Novell has a positive cash flow, but their core product is losing market share. Furthermore changes in computer technology/networking standards have the additional effect of making the concept of a NOS (network operating system) unnecessary for many corporate accounts (Java, the Oracle NC, Netscape, NFS, etc ...)

From a business analysis, NOVL is stable, and has increasing revenues. This is certainly good, and keeps non-computer-professional investors in the stock, because they don't have the background necessary to read the writing on the wall.

This whole NOVL thing reminds me of that company that used to make buggys. Balance sheet was phenominal, market share was 80%, the future looked bright. Then they invented the automobile. Five years later they went belly up.

I honestly don't see any difference.
