Careful attention must be exercised when false teachings are being spread over certain areas of the internet, especially when the person in charge of filtering the accuracy of the statements expressed is silently letting it go. I read on another board that "There is only one sin which condemns a person to hell, that being the rejection of the Son's payment for sin." That is a completely untrue and greatly misleading statement, void of any biblical support.

Nowhere the Bible teaches that "rejecting the Son's payment for sin" is a sin, not to mention that "is a sin which condemns a person to hell." The Bible teaches that there is only one sin which condemns a person to eternal damnation:

"And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come." Matthew 12:31,32

"I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."" Mark 3:28,29

Likewise, another false and deceitful statement "As far as a believer is concerned, there are no sins that would condemn a true believer to eternity in hell." In the two clear verses quoted above, there is no exception regarding who commits the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. A "true believer" or an unsaved person is equally responsible for the unforgivable sin if committed.
