My paper trade this week is short 500 ERTS @ $52. Books of the week are the Kalahari Typing School for Men and Devil in the White City. Movies are Excalibur (Boorman) and The Road Home. The books and movies last week are all very good, I had read both of the sci-fi books as a teen and they do seem written for older teenage boys. The movies for last week seemed familiar too, and while both are worth a B+, I'd rather have watched 1984 and Brazil again...for the same effect. The Road Home: Veteran director Zhang Yimou this time trains his camera on a love story between a Chinese boy and girl that endures for 40 years. Starring Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), The Road Home tells the tale of Zhao Di (Ziyi) and how she met the love of her life, Luo Changyu -- a new schoolteacher assigned to teach the children in her small village.
