Steve, small stocks in general have fallen out of favor since the market peaked for them back in May. ECSC seems to have gotten caught in the general negativism affecting the small caps at present. It also has against it the fact that it has never been profitable (other than last quarter and that on a technicality). I too believe, though, that this could change because the company today is a very different sort of entity than the one that lost money for all those years. I particularly think that their next quarter (the fourth) should be particuarly strong for them because (as their latest 8-Q states) their earnings reflect an upswing around the time of the heart of the growing season. It is surprising to be able to buy stock in a company which has a capital worth of 9 million dollars that is much less than their revenues for a single year. Now, if they can just turn some of those big revenues into profits... I'll probably get in on Monday.
