Certainly seems to be the explanation for the sudden and recent up
tick in the stock price. Some knew and some bought. Sounds as if they
really are poising for a big kick to intregrate an industry with many
small players.
The reverse of this happened in the A/V world about 5-8 years ago when
many of the "big houses" really shut down and went to a complete
freelance type of structure. Only bring in who you need when you need
them. Now this trend is tending to move the other way, and some of the
players like Carribeener and CVIA are moving to consolidate and make
a stand with a real market share.
Carribeener is just completing or has completed a big buyout of the
biggest A/V house in Orlando, and now has more than a 75% market share
in the Big City of Conventions, Orlando. And this is a company that is
also on the move, but with less of a track record.
