I seriously doubt that spamo caused this stock to go up 66%.
Using Excite and Lycos as major portal search engine is enough news for this stock to rise. What do you think?

As you probably now know, the claim about the Excite and Lycos connections was a lie. Refer to #reply-11318284 if you have any doubts on that score. AFAIK, the spammed messages were the only source of that particular lie. I'd be very interested to hear about any other sources of that misinformation, particularly ones which were available prior to Sept. 14.

IMO, barring evidence to the contrary, the SI spam was responsible for the huge spike in trading volume on Sept. 14 and the large gap in price at the open on that day. More specifically for purposes of discussion let us consider the claim: without the spam (and its Excite/Lycos lie) the large volume spike and opening price gap on Sept. 14 would not have occurred. Given the fact that FVSN prices have returned to pre-spam levels (closing price today was $0.437 vs a closing price on Sept. 13 of $0.5156), I could undoubtedly expand this claim to include the price/volume action on the trading days immediately following the 14th, but for now let's confine our attention to the italicized statement. Can anyone provide a credible alternative explanation for the volume spike/opening gap on the Sept. 14? To eliminate one alternative explanation, there do not appear to have been any news releases concerning the company between the close on Sept. 13 and the open on Sept. 14. Indeed the last company PR (AFAIK) prior to 9/14 was on Aug. 24 and concerned the completion of the company's move to larger quarters: go2net.newsalert.com.

If you can supply an alternative explanation for the price spike/gap open, please document it fully. TIA

P.S. It's probably unnecessary to say, but this request for plausible alternative explanations of the Sept. 14 volume spike/opening gap is addressed to all, not just the author of the post I'm responding to.
