GlobalNet Expects to Report Q2 Results May 10-15
LOMBARD, Ill., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- GlobalNet, Inc. (Nasdaq: GBNE chart, msgs), a leading provider of international voice, data and Internet services over a private, managed Internet Protocol (IP) network, today announced that it expects to report first-quarter results between May 10 and May 15, 2001.
"We expect our first-quarter earnings release will demonstrate continued progress toward achieving our strategic goals," said Robert J. Donahue, chairman and chief executive officer. "We also remain confident that the second-quarter results -- which will be released later this summer -- will include positive EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, exclusive of non-cash stock compensation and extraordinary items), one quarter ahead of the schedule we had set previously."
Earlier this month, GlobalNet also announced that it had secured an additional $6 million in financing with an existing shareholder.
