An Update from the GX website: Important Message for Our Customers Global Crossing's backbone, core voice and data services, provisioning services, and systems are fully up and running worldwide. While our global network was never compromised, two facilities near the collapse of the World Trade Centers were affected. One of Global Crossing's voice switches experienced an outage and was ordered to be evacuated by authorities, however our technicians have been on site as safety conditions allowed and successfully continue to reroute services to a new location. A facility serving the financial community lost power,however our technicians are on site and able to continue to work toward full restoration. In spite of the challenges posed by these events, our customer service teams have been available around the clock to answer questions. Customers are asked to continue to use normal reporting procedures. If customers are unable to reach their usual customer service number, they may call (406) 655 1810.
