Bill, in my opinion the problem isn't black and white. Its obvious Starr had an agenda that exceeded his original mission. To simply excuse this point on the basis of saying Janet Reno approved the stages of pursuit gives no credit to Starr.. he's a very determined, clever, and persuasive... if not intimidating.. person.

He exudes a more holly than thou personality and talks down to the American population when he speaks. My family had judges and many members were lawyers going back four generations.. none of them pontificated they way this guy does.

I seriously think Starr sees this as a semi-religious fight against the evils in the world and that Clinton is his personal devil.

Because of this, I assume from reading the evidence provided in the Starr report that the interests of the United States, our sense of fair justice, and democractic desires have not been well represented.
Far too much political taint lies in the pages of this report, and outside this task Starr does not have my respect representing tobacco.

It is a question of two evils in my mind.. Starrs rigid guilt energized world of black and white / or Clinton's loose moraled, sometimes lying, but diplomatic and targeted leadership.

I don't deny there aren't others who can replace him and do quite well, but I don't want this nation to impeach anyone based on lying about an affair. If we did that we'd soon have crotch police in every corner of every state prying into everyone's privacy.
