Our only hope is that moeney flowing out of PC Tech goes to Telecom Tech or Net Tech It's already flowing over to the Nets and has been for a while. About two weeks ago the ATHM thread was over run by CPQ refugees. PCs don't want to be just cheap, they want to be FREE. There is no margin in free. I asked my brother-in-law if he buys Compaq for the company he buys computers for....he said that Compaq makes it almost impossible for him to buy from them directly. They are still protecting their distribution channels. Old world thinking in a networked world.
