CD's WILL KILL IOMEGA .... SELL NOW !!!!!
Sorry, sometimes you have to get everyones attention by being inflammatory. Backround :
( preface, I'm speaking in generalities ... for all you out there who need bibliographies for a simple post ) . About five years ago I was involved in two businesses and three computers
at different locations ( Mac computers / I'm civilized ). How do you keep a handle on everything? NOT SO OBVIOUS to you PC owners but to a long time Mac owner ... Removeable
Transportable Media. May I remind you that at the time most of you guys had your thumbs
up your @#"?// with tape drives ... GET REAL ... if you even had them...what a joke! Syquest or Bernoulli? Price and universal acceptance vs. reliability and very expensive. Who Cares ? I
wanted 90 Megs at a pop I could throw in my briefcase, put in my comp. at home and check
up on my " stuff ". Mission accomplished, Bernouilli's by IOMEGA.

A while later ... 160 M , 240 M etc. I really didn't care as I took home only files, applications
being on the respective computers (90 M on a file only is still a lot) ! Enter CD-ROM , bought some new Power Mac's, Cd players came with. Bought some games for the kids... a couple for me ... I admit ... and promptly lost all interest, as did my children. Sorry, being a parent, you do have to brag about your children whenever the time presents itself....

A while later... Again... I pop in a CD ( CD-ROM, FOR ALL YOU, LET'S BE TOTALLY SPECIFIC PEOPLE ). Hhmmm. .. Great graphics, sound, etc, BUT you are right Young, dismal speed etc.
Business suddenly " turns to shit " and I've got some time on my hands. I get bored, and look into CD tech. and remeovable data tech. Low and Behold, CD-Rom ...4x ... on the way... pushing the limits you can only spin a platter so fast! Removeable media only so fast ... you need a fixed hard drive for fast access ... floppies??? can't get a floppy to spin that fast and keep
" heads " and media intact.

A while later... Again... 10x CD... A floppy, THIS IS WHAT A ZIP REALLY IS ...should we trade tech. figures out there you tech. hot shots ???? ...c'mon. CD-ROM / CD-R / CD-E .... NOW LET'S REALLY GET HEAVY you tech. dipshits ... start looking in LAN sites... ask them about ZIP drive
arrays... GET REAL !!! The pros bet on CD .... it's gonnahappen.... ,,,,,,,,,,,,.................................,,,,,,,,,..

P.S> I am a stockholder
I do think IOMEGA IS "good" , for a while
IOMEGA may be @ it's peak ... and settle in... ie. this is " it " settle in junkies, look for a NEW ///////
NIRVAVA ( IE. up down .... 5% 10% you know )
EASE OFF KILLERS OUT THERE Some of you people think there is a stock that will take
over the world. GET REAL.....
Reality CHECk FOR ME.... BLATANT HONESTY.... I really do own the stock... As a "Mac "
person " It did not dawn on me until later that this was such a " BIG DEAL ", for PC
owners. My stupidity !!
LOOOOOOK TO THE FUTURE KILEEERS I am certain.....
YOUNG ..... I'm telling you ... next batter is "up to the plate "
And to all :
The Devils Advocate ... Mike
