<As you are a student of the Gorilla Game, I don't have to tell you the virtues of a ltb&h approach to an investment like ntap>
Hi Uncle - yes, I am a student of the Gorilla Game, and a lurker on the Gorilla and Kings Candidate thread. I bought TRFM from Amazon a month ago (shipping charges to Hong Kong exceeded the book price, but worth every penny!).
Generally, I have no qualms about buying or selling any of my holdings if TA warrants doing so. In 1999, I traded ten times on average per business day (2,000 times in the year) with great results. I manage a tech fund portfolio which typically has between sixty and eighty positions in various common stocks, as well as an assortment of options in all flavors.
For Gorillas, I intend to apply more of a LTBH approach, however.
Have been adding to my positions in WIND, ELON and CREE over the past week. Took a starter position in MVIS, too.
I have owned a starter position of 2,000 NTAP since around the beginning of the year. Subsequently, I have been accumulating during the recent decline. 500 @73, 500 @71-11/16, 500 @77-1/2, 1000 @47-7/8.
Altogether 4,500 shares at an average entry price of below $70. I will probably accumulate more if prices dip below $60 again.
The most recent purchase would be a great "hold" for posterity, I think :-) In five years' time, my cost basis could be in the single digits (I hope). |
