I agree completely that the moves towards enabled customers to "self service" their own accounts is an incredible play.

I remember attending a conference in San Francisco where the presidents of Fedex and HP both talked on this subject. They explained the *huge* cost savings (millions of dollars) when they allowed customers to use the web to track packages (Fedex) and to download their own printer drivers (HP) ...

It *is* something that could be done via a number of means ...
