But to Palestinians, especially to Gazans, it certainly was." Here is a little on each of the operations you list. If your point is there have been a lot of military incursions over the years by both the Israelis and Palestinians, like duh. Also Iran--Operation Days of Repentance has to do with Iran which has continuously armed Hamas. But the most recent operation by Hamas was bloodier and more embarrassing than any of the previous ones. And they picked on Bibi at a time when he was most vulnerable so he had to strike back even more viciously than ever before. I suppose some of the Palestinians may consider this thing a victory whatever the cost if it results in a more general recognition of a Palestinian state. They're nuts. They have had several serious opportunities for peace over the past 50 years but have not taken any of them. That said, Bibi is an asshole as crazy as Hamas critters. This round of aggressions has been bloodier than any of the others, not just by the Israelis but also by the Palestinians. Yay, they killed a few thousand Israelies--aren't they grand....
