I have developed a very cynical hope, that Al Quaeda won't launch any more attacks until after the November Presidential election, for fear of rocking the boat.

I go along with that idea. Another terrorist attack before the election would guarantee President Bush's reelection, and Osama et al.do not want that. They want Bush out,as they fear him, but Kerry, or any Democrat in, so they can resume their attack on U.S. without reprisal, except in the Civil Courts, as pursued by Clinton after the first WTC attack.
