Is there anything the US or any other country do about NK even with the best diplomat in the world, without the help of China?

There is a lot we could do. Mine their ports and force all trade though China. Ratchet up the pressure on the cabal that runs NK. Kim Jong-il is just the tip of the dictatorship. They don't want to live their lives in caves worried about us taking out them and their families.

Or we could just flat ignore them and let them freeze to death in the dark.
