Commutation works just fine.

I'm sure he would have given one if the Israelis had been willing to pay the going price.

For personal interests, I and a number of my friends followed that very closely. The Israelis put tremendous pressure on Clinton during the hoped for peace talks. The closest Clinton ever got was to say that he would "look at it". The Israelis interpreted that as a maybe ... probably yes.

But at the end of the day, Pollard is still in the slammer.
