Oh no...ANOTHER new jersey guy....

I have problems with mechanical systems. Not that I don't think they work or I think that you should not use them. I have problems in that my mentality wants to look at a number of factors that just cant be factored in easily and quantitatively....including my crystal ball.

So I am trying to find a balance and may throw everything out and be MECHANICAL....I am just a Kitten Babe trying to learn from the expert old Toms...

For instance yesterday morning I was emailing Kevin and suggesting the following: perhaps he should not sell his calls at his usual stop loss point because his "break point" for purchase of puts had other confirming factors and he might want to do something similiar to what Tom T does on futures in that he doesnt sell until he buys.... So if the confirmation of the put purchase point is not hit - don't sell the calls.

But Kevin followed his mechanical system. Of course, after he sees this happen more with his "new" confirming signs..he might change the "mechanics" to that...

What I am saying is that for me...it would have been a "feel" and for him and Tom trader it is a mechanic....and once he sees more confirmation of it working it then becomes mechanical and he might put that into place

Just like when the buy signal was hit yesterday morning...I didnt buy calls...I just didnt FEEL comfortable....but then I bought them yesterday afternoon when the buy signal was hit again.

Hmmm.....didn't Nemer tell you I keep people addled.....
