AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 1999--SI Diamond Technology Inc. (OTC BB:SIDT) Tuesday announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Electronic Billboard Technology Inc. (EBT), completed its first sun-visible VERSAtile(TM) electronic billboard product targeted for the outdoor advertising industry.
The display delivers an image of pictorial quality with wide viewing angles, even in direct sunlight. The screen dimensions are 10.5-feet wide, 8.4-feet high and 1.6-feet thick. The screen of the electronic billboard, which is comprised of 20,480 individual color pixels, delivers over 6,000 nits (candella/m2) and offers more than 16.7 million colors.
The VERSAtile(TM) billboard is a true large area graphic display and is the perfect solution for outdoor advertising applications. EBT will offer VERSAtile(TM) electronic billboards in standard formats, as well as in custom configurations.
