Maria: "It's been a momentum stock on wall street and late in the day today, Rational software got a little more momentum from goldman sachs. In a late day call today, goldman sachs pushed software company rational software which they initiated a target price of $110 by the end of 2000, which would be about 15-times revenue. One reason for the positive comments is an attractive valuation as most companies are trading above that multiple. Analyst anne miserner also telling clients good growth prospects, with expectations of 35% growth in revenue in 2000 and 33% in 20001 as e-business is a key driver of the company's growth with 80% internet related. The company reports earnings in mid-april and goldman looks for an estimated $165-million in sales, to be another catalyst for the stock."
