dj, that very well may be their GROSS COST. their NET COST is near $4.00. $2.80 would also be near their asp if they didn't hold back inventory. now dram is at $2.25. let me ask you a simple question. if i make a widget with a gross cost of $2.80 and sell it for $2.80, have i made money? have i broken even? who's going to pay the sales rep? what about the building expenses? what about the hr rep? what about management? who pays the electricity? in other words, who pays the OVERHEAD. you do know that OVERHEAD is not included in GROSS COST right? you must make enough to pay the overhead too. if not, you go out of business. why do i have zero confiedence that you and/or david understand this simple concept? maybe b/c you throw out gross cost like it means something. it doesn't reflect profitability in and of itself.
