Been talking about this for five years, the 248 year cycle has topped the USA as the leader, we are about to spiral down into the worst of times in our history.
Dating for this cycle is exact, there is no "depending". The new cycle began 1990. Exactly as the cycle began we entered the Gulf war and we are now eleven years into the new 248 year cycle. Simply go back in time 248 years from the three year window of 1987 to 1990 and take a look at history. Froom Gann we learned cycles come in eights, go back 8 248 year cycles froom 1987-1990 and see where we came from.
There are eight cycles within the 248 year cycle. From 1987 to 2018 America will experience "The worst of times" cycle.
Well, if the mkt cracks wide open from here u just might be right. And it MIGHT do just THAT, if Da Boyz can't "do it" one more time.
Japan is in a death spiral. Nikkei down 300 points last night. Wait til it breaks 12,000, decisively (at 12.3, now) Then all HELL will break loose is my GUESS.
if one was to suppose that Gann was working with astrology, and he had access to a good astro program on his computer today, he'd have the advantage of seeing how the progressed Sun doesn't "hit" the middle of the 8th house, and sesquisquare{225} the natal Sun until about February 2003. That is progressed Sun at 225 degrees from natal Sun, and in an area-the 8th house- associated with Scorpionic things like sex and death.
I'm not sure if it is of interest to anyone, but that's my understanding of what "someone else" might have been alluding to. Of course in any transformative dynamic, something dies, and something else is born. Scorpio{ 8th house/8th sign-similiar thing} is about the battle between ones lower and higher nature. Scorpio's usually take a while to figure out where the high road is, and lets hope the USA can find it too!!! I think Ian quoted some hindu astrologer a few days ago, that also suggested the USA needs to get in touch with it's spiritual identity and make the transition to a less material, and more spiritual reference point. I'm not sure how that translates with regard to the stock indexes, but I thought I better mention that, seeing as how this is a message board about the markets, right?
80% of the SP500 and Nasdaq are owned by the Big "Evil" Companies, ie Big Tobacco, Big Oil, Big Drug, Big Nuclear Weapons Companies, etc. There is no true Democracy anywhere, because they control, dictate and make all the rules of the Government and all in their egoistic materialistic favors.
These evils will have to loose their power completely if a true Spiritual Awakening is to take place. The only way for that to happen is through a Stockmarket Crash of Global proportions.
If you are correct in your assessment of the larger term trends, then it should show up in the stock market.
Specifically, the SPX should put in a monthly bar completely below the 3/22/01 low.
There seem to be three camps around here.
1. Those that expect the retrace to halt at about 60%.
2. Those that expect a 90% plus retrace.
3. Those that expect the low to come in at 1998 levels or below.
I am in camp number 2.
If the SPX puts in a monthly bar below the 3/22 low, I will look closer at your prediction.
As migz said, third waves are recognition waves.
We have had a recognition wave in the Nasdaq, but we have not had a quarterly third wave down (yet?) in the NYSE. |
