John, Your, "Jules, a couple of questions, I respect your opinion primarily because of your reputation on another BB (*P):
Are you implying that I haven't been living up to my reputation on SI?
But, to answer your questions, and mind you this is only my opinion and I reserve the right to change my mind at any time, or to be completely wrong.
I am using for Intel's revenues; $4.65 Billion in Q3 and $4.90 Billion in Q4 96. For earnings; I am using $1.16 to $1.19 in Q3 and $1.38 to $1.42. i.e. for the year I am using $4.63 to $4.70.
While it has been reported that orders for Q3 so far are ahead of Q2's first 7 week start, much will depend on Intel's ability to continue this better order rate in the month of September. With a strong September my Q3 numbers could be conservative.
Once we get past Q3, things should begin to get easier for Intel. Germany and Europe are now showing signs of recovery, new products, momentum from corporations moving to Pentium Pro, new Windows NT software, MMX, better B to B comparisons and continued expansion of worldwide use of broarder band Internet Service, should ensure steadily improving numbers.
I'm sorry but unless the overall market corrects you are not going to get a better time to accumulate additional shares of INTC. Where were you back in January and February when I was recommending, on this thread, to buy as much INTCW as you could afford. The INTC Warrants, I wrote, would give you better leverage? Jules PS. Smith Barney's, Barlage's price target of $110.00 was within the next year to 18 months. |
