THE END OF AN ERA...A@P'S HAS LEFT SI!

I came to SI back in late 93, under a different alias. Back then this was the only place on the WEB to converse about stocks and potential. It was the time before IOMEGA, before yhoo, and when the INTERNET had its first pump. Does anyone remember NET-MANAGE, NETSCAPE, UUNET, or NET-COM? I do, and I also remember a guy who had this keen ability to look at a company and through a company to find the truth!

Most back then never heard of DAY-TRADING, or ON-LINE trading, it was just starting. I had an account w/ cirrus brokerage which later became AMTD. The pumps of 92-94 where UUNET, US robotics, NET-COM, NET-MANAGE, western digital, KOMAG.

Back then DELL had missed earnings and fell from 84-24 in 2 months. CSCO also had growing pains....and was an unknown. The 2 biggest networkers were ascend and 3com.

There was a group of people that made a fantastic amount of money sharing information about the upcoming surge in IT spending. Then there were those who knew that as the market flew in 94-98 it took withit the CRAP stocks.

A @ P was a member of both groups and I think its only right to express my best wishes to a trader who really knows the market! He leaves SI after many years, but it just goes to show the little guy who made this market from 92-00 has been lost, but not forgotten!

My best to you and your family A@P!! You will not be soon forgotten!
