This bandwidth argument that cable requires bandwidth to be shared with 30 people is just so bogus. The number of people that share the bandwidth depends on how many links in the chain the cable company is willing to install. The latest figures are that only 5 people would share the bandwidth in the current conceived installations giving users ADSL comparable speed for the internet. Your point doesn't hold up IMO. Have you even researched this lately??? You never say anything positive about cable; most on the ADSL thread don't. Isn't this showing a bias towards the ADSL investment to the point that you are being blind to the competition? You admit you don't know the technical details of the competition? How could you not keep up with this? You just dismiss these competing technologies outright without giving any credibility to them. A warning label should be posted whenever anyone argues a point with their minds already decided as to who wins, regardless of the facts. I feel like I am listening to a tobacco lobbyist explaining why nicotine is not addictive!
