I'm just finishing up the Gorilla Game, and was very excited about applying its concepts to my portfolio management. But then I visited www.gorillagame.com and found the following comments where I had expected to find the Test Portfolio:

...the fact is that there is more interest than we ever expected in our ongoing management of The Gorilla Game test portfolio. We probably should have seen this coming, and in fact it did occur to us, but we decided to wait and see. Well, that part is done.

The truth is that while we have ideas and experience that allow us to sort out larger trends in high-tech, we simply don't have the discipline and the time to devote to the day-to-day management of a stock portfolio given our current commitments.

What cheek; they write a book that tells me how to invest in high tech stocks, but they aren't disciplined or interested enough to apply their theory.

The book was a best seller, and made them a lot of money, so if their approach had validity, it would have been easy enough to hire a disciplined bean counter to manage the day to day administration of the portfolio.

I wonder where they will invest the bucks they made from selling me the book?

Frank
