Some NC thoughts: The NC in some form is likely. IBM, and others, are going to go the NC route to sell solutions. The intriguing possibility for the NC is that they will be, as they say, priced to sell at exactly $0. This would be similar to what is now the case for cell phones. That is, companies like ATT, TCI, IBM, Oracle and so on will give you the NC just to get you to sign up for their net, data base or whatever service. This type of business plan could bring NCs to market in very large numbers sooner rather than later. This could have significant implications to the RTOS business.
