That type of trade just does not happen except in the minds of people who continue to believe that the market trading environment is a vast and brutal conspiracy to cheat them out of what the "market" entitles them to. (Well, maybe there is a minor ongoing conspiracy involved, but nowhere near the level envisioned by some.). Another thing, the mixture of rapid quote access and electronics causes many misquotes and out of sequence errors in the system. Relax, the system is not perfect but it's basically honest, and it's certainly not highway robbery as so many would like to believe.
