GLE is concentrating on the low end power 1kw to 5kw because that is the next level up from their existing product line of thermoelectric generators. They expect the small units to find uses in cell phone and cable repeater stations, in remote locations or as backup power. They have lots of experience in high temp ceramics and other materials from their generators which is why Julich went with them for their SOFC to be developed. They have no intention to go after the large generator market. They do mention hybrid electric vehicles however.
