Although they are developing fuel cells, they aren't trying to compete directly with Ballard. Global has an existing business selling thermoelectric generators (electricity is created by a heat difference) to the oil industry, phone industry, cable industry third world, lighthouses, etc. (Anyone that needs electricity to be generated remotely.) They've been in this business for over twenty years and have the distribution channels in place. They have licensed the fuel cell technology from Germany to commercialise for their existing customers here. Their next step is a commercial prototype, then they will begin manufacturing them for sale. They also recently landed an $18 million contract with the US government to develop digital heaters, competing with some of the biggest names in the business. The main thing I like about them is they are profitable today and the fuel cells should make them more profitable in the future. They will be moving to the TSE in September and will be hiring a promotions company at that time. Currently, they are listed as GLE-ASE. Cheers!
