Golden Eagle International, Inc. Update

Conference Call to be held Wednesday, January 15

Golden Eagle International, Inc. is hosting a conference call on January 15 from the Company’s offices in La Paz, Bolivia. The President and CEO, Terry Turner will discuss several topics:

Results from the dynamic fourth quarter of 2002.
The status of improvements being made at their Cangalli gold mine, which is producing gold from a 6.4 million ounce estimated reserve.
Expansion plans and projections for the Cangalli mine to reach 3,500 tons per day processing capacity and profitability.
Short and long term goals and projections for the Cangalli mine.

In an announcement on January 9, Mr. Turner said he was excited about discussing these numerous recent developments. We understand his excitement, because Golden Eagle is now on a fast track to proving the profitability of their company’s mine plan. Once this is proven, we believe that the reasoning behind the Company’s entire business plan will be validated.

We also share Mr. Turner’s excitement, because we see the expansion of the mine to 3,500 tpd as the logical next step towards the company’s plans to build an 11,000-tpd mill that is projected to produce gold at less than $75 cash cost per ounce. In the gold mining industry, this unusually low figure should attract quite a bit of attention, in combination with the fact that Golden Eagle reports indicated resources of 81 million ounces and an inferred resource of 162 million ounces of gold.

Golden Eagle’s conference calls tend to contain new information about the company. They are lively, because shareholders, analysts, brokers and other interested parties tend to speak up and ask meaningful questions. We encourage you to attend.

The Conference Call on January 15 will be held at 4:15 EST, 3:15 CST, 2:15 MST and 1:15 PST. Access numbers are:

US and Canada: 1-800-556-3831

International: 001-972-512-0694

Pass code: 00612

Participants may press “O” at any time for assistance once logged into the call.
