you know, it would have probably been better if the europeans had never given up their colonies... britain would still be running egypt, france lebanon-syria, etc...
or what if the u.s. had never given israel a dime, and had instead done business with the arabs? it's weird how the u.s. decided israel was a better ally than the arabs.. the arabs have the oil and we decided to back the ones without any oil..
whatever the case, egypt was way better off under the british, and the same probably goes for the eastern med and the arabian penninsula...
maybe we should just nuke the whole eastern med/arabian penninsula and move in with radioactive gear to keep the oil flowing... neutron bombs... yeah that's the ticket...

the funny thing is, i've met syrians and jews and such face to face, and they all seem like pretty decent fellows... i suppose it's easy to theorize on a macro level when you're not actually there, being sniped at day after day...
