But a headline -- and an article -- that assumes politics is the primary motivation says far more about the Times than it does about the conservatives featured in the article.

You see, Republicans don't have any principles - beyond greed and a will to power - so everything they do must be for politics' sake. Ask any liberal.

This wasn't a studied insult. The Times editor wrote it as naturally as breathing.
