PS I am sending you a 77th Special Forces Group coin. I selected that one because it is the earliest Special Forces coin I have in duplicate. I know the 10th SFG had a coin early too and am not sure which was first. Many think the 77th was the initial SF Group. It was founded on 16 Sept 1953 and was redesignated the 7th SF Group in 1960. However the 10th SF Group was founded in Europe on 11 June 1952. I started SF training in July 1962. I used to think I missed all the action because I got to SF so late!!! I learned better after serving 11 of the next 17 years overseas. LOL FYI, the 7th provided most of the SF personel for the Son Tay raid and many other Top Secret and never disclosed operations. One of my dearest buddies who I call uncle was in the 77th and the 7th. He was in the 3rd Infantry Division in Korea in 51-52.I met him in Berlin in 63. For some reason he decided to look out for me and we are buddies still today. uw
