Rock_nj Do you drive a hybrid? If so, good for you. The U.S. "aided" both sides of the Iran/Iraq war. I believe the goal, was that neither side win. So yes, the U.S. did aid Saddam when he was losing. Do you also think it was foolish (for the U.S.) to send aid to Stalin in the 2nd World War? He later became our enemy too (and lead to the arms race and the military industrial complex).
