I'm hearing on the radio that the American proposal to move troops thru Iran into Afghanistan was discussed in open session of the Iranian parliament on April 15th. So debka had that one right. Zilch from the MSM, natch. The speaker (Ken Timmerman) says that Iran also offered some of the senior Al Qaeda figures they've been holding "under arrest" since 2001, but the CIA refused the offer. They fear American anger should it be widely known that Iran has Saad bin Laden et. al.
