I have already mentioned some of the difficulties of our co-dependent relation with the Saudi Royals.

One I didn't mention before was that we had no freedom of movement regarding the Saudis because we needed our bases there (which btw was Osama's original casus belli, infidels on the holy soil, etc). Why did we need our bases there? To protect the Saudis from Saddam.

Now we don't need our bases there, and they have been moved to Qattar, Kuwait and Iraq.
