Computer makers are looking for demo DVDs to ship with their DVD-ROM drives................

Unapix CEO says in talks for DVD deal

LOS ANGELES, March 5 (Reuters) - Unapix Entertainment Inc
chief executive officer David Fox said Unapix is talking with
two computer makers interested in using DVDs containing Unapix
film content as demonstration reels for their products.
"Two computer makers are thinking of buying a DVD demo
reel from us to ship out with DVD-Rom drives," David Fox told
Reuters. He said the deals combined would be worth "in the
seven digit figures."
In December, Unapix, an independent film and documentary
marker, signed a deal with Simitar Entertainment Inc to release
parts of its library on DVD, a new from of optical laser disk.
In December it expects DVD titles to generate more than $2
million in net sales in 1998.
At a growth stock conference earlier this week, Fox also
reiterated he expects Unapix' 1998 revenue to top $40 million
and said the company is on track to meet its goal of $100
million in revenue and 10 percent profit margins in the year
2000.
