i have a system password enabled on my dell pc's. the only way to bypass them is to disable them by cracking the case and changing a jumper setting. so that may be what you are looking for. i have an online system user's guide that shows how to assign a new password. i recommend that you check either your reference and installation guide, or call the manufacturer.

[edit: quick point of clarification... i said that the only way to bypass the password is to disable it. however, a password can be disabled by a user who knows it (you, hopefully) by going into the system setup program.]
