Lizzie, this outsourcing is a "get rich quick" scheme of the people who are already rich. Bush Administration is their opportunity to fill their pockets since Bush is giving them the breaks they need.

These countries have very different laws, work ethics etc. It will soon start to show if it has not done so already. Quality control issues will start to show etc. Some 4 to 5 years ago we had Indians on H1-B visas swarming the Silicon valley. We had Bill Gates, Carly Fiorina etc. walking the halls of Congress to lobby with the lawmakers to increase the H1-B quotes. Bill Gates was once on Larry King live during the launch of Windows 2000. There was caller from India who asked him why he was not opening up offices in India and was instead talking the Indians away to work at Redmond. he specifically said that he wanted them to work in Redmond so that he could control quality, keep to the schedule and have a very integrated design team in Redmond.

Then we had the Bushies move in and that situation changed. We had all these big shot economist and economic theorists espousing why outsourcing is good. In the world economy, it is quality that sells. People are willing to pay the high price for a higher quality. So we will have to wait and see how long this outsourcing will last. If Bush is gone then outsourcing will go with it. Else the natural forces will kill this concept. IMHO.
