The FDA's letter is a riot. They're claiming General Mills is making an "unauthorized health claim" on their website by saying, "Heart-healthy diets rich in whole grain foods, can reduce the risk of heart disease." The letter concludes with "Please send your reply to the attention of Tyra S. Wisecup, Compliance Officer, at the address in the letterhead. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Ms. Wisecup at (612) 758-7114." I can see General Mills having some fun with this, they couldn't have asked for a better ad. fda.gov
