Dr. Wu has extensive research experience and knowledge of the geochemical processes involved in the formation of high- grade silver occurrences in tetrahedrite and galena ores that are the significant ore types that have yielded the vast majority of silver production in THE SILVER VALLEY/Coeur d'Alene Idaho.

Between 1972 and 1974 at Cerro de Pasco and Cia de Minas Buenaventura, Peru. He completed a Ph.D. research program at Harvard, in which he conducted underground and surface mapping and sampling of Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn hydrothermal veins and Mantos in the Casapalca and the Huachocolpa Districts and conducted a new, innovative and extensive electron microprobe study that led to the discovery of systemic zoning in both time and space of tetrahedrite geochemistry and defined district-size mineral zoning pertinent to exploration and mining. Similar zoning and time-space geochemical patterns were subsequently recognized in other mining districts (in Mexico and the Coeur d' Alene District, Idaho, USA) and in two Ph.D. studies at Harvard.

Dr. Wu holds a M.A. (1971) and Ph.D. (1975) in economic geology from Harvard University, where he was a Teaching Fellow in Geology from 1971 to 1973. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.

He has written or co-written twelve published studies and articles in his 30 years as a geologist and researcher.
