We have at least two generations who have grown up, knowing the largess of government thanks to the taxpayers. Our parents were sold a bill of goods with SS, the Forgotten Generation (1935-1945) didn't believe in SS as a rule, but we had to participate, and the Boomers (in two sub groups 1945-1964) have really never known anything else but government giveaways. The first group of the Boomers were the "60's generation"...or the Flower Children--many of this group anti-much of anything in those years, and the 2nd group, late 50's to 1964, were a little more serious about government and life in general.

I believe it is the majority of the Boomers that have come to believe in handouts, in one shape or another.

The fact that 46% of the voters contribute but 3-4% of the total income tax collected should bother any responsible US citizen.

When that large a group trades their votes for government handouts, and will vote for the group that promises the most handouts, you will know we have trouble, right here in Bummer City~~!!
