I actually enjoy it. I've used the bread machines, and they are easiest. My last two attempts have been in the oven as the machine made hockey pucks out of my first sourdough recipe. We found out that it's good to have a non-skid surface for your bread machine. One we had a few years ago jumped off the counter all by itself and destroyed both itself and the bread dough. Fair warning for politico-bread makers.
