No, you misunderstood. Why should I buy Pargesa if I can buy and sell its holdings and decide for myself whether I like them or not and whether the news are good or not?

Of course this also applies to WSC, various mutual funds and to lesser degree to BRK.

Discount to NAV is of course attractive, but in these type of companies the management competence is much more important and IMHO difficult to evaluate. If I ever decide that these guys are great then I will not bitch about their holdings. ;)
