Good morning OJ -- trying to imagine you as a futures trader:)

Now you may be very good at it -- like those guys one sees in the pits waving their hands all the time--you could be a natural:)

>>Lisa I'm working on MY OWN system with a friend, for trading the indexes...<<

Interesting--care to share some more information regarding this??

>>In fact I've been thinking about the Mini S&P...

My advice is that if you are going to trade the S&Ps go with the regular contract--otherwise slippage and commissions will impact results too much.

>>Why should we keep paying the large premiums on the OEX when you can just trade the markets direction either long or short using stops???<<

That is the best argument to trade the futures as opposed to the options but they are two completely different animals and the exposure that you have is completley different as is the necessary trading style. Unless you are a VERY disciplined trader, you should not do it -- if you are disciplined, and you have the risk capital, I'd say that it is worth looking at. In any event paper trade before you trade real time just to assess how well the system is working. Though even after paper trading the real thing will, at least initially, cause your stomach to turn once in a while.

>>TT would be the best help in this matter, and I would like to open the disscussion up about this possiblility...<<

I'll be happy to help anyway-- though anyone thinking of doing so should read a couple of books on the subject; I am a great supporter of trading futures -- provided one goes about it the right way and has the risk capital to give it a shot. Remember that 90% of all futures traders lose money -- but because it is a zero sum game, the remaining 10% make all the money that the 90% lose. Therein lies the risk and the reward.

>>Lisa its a pure bet...the purest of the pure...I'm gathering info on
it as we speak..<<

You have such a way with words -- and with your enthusiasm and infectious attitude, we'll probably end up having dozens of people jumping on the wagon. Just as well you use a pseudonym, otherwise given that 90% lose money at it, you could end up with a lynch mob after you:)

Regards--and have a good day, my friend
