Once your word has no value, what are you? It is an important rule to teach everyone...

tonto, revise that to:

People that do not place much importance regarding honesty will not understand the importance of being able to trust the word of anyone else.

I have a 16-year-old daughter. As we have tried to negotiate the teen years, and before, we have stressed to her that one of the most important things she has is her honesty. With honesty comes trust. With trust, privileges follow.

The other lesson we stress is, once you have lost our trust due to dishonesty, it will take a long, long time to get it back.

Apparently that is a lesson some on this thread were never taught.
