My Vaio is R505.

I removed "_____ Support" (cant recall what the other part of the name was, but it did not say support.com) via the Add/Remove tool. During that process of removal a message came up asking me if I was sure I wanted to remove those various files. Each file name contianed "support.com" within the name. Support.com is what is causing all the trouble.

I proceeded with the removal, then the little icon popped back up, but did not turn. I then rebooted and have not seen the icon since. Hopefully the problem is solved. Also, I have not noticed any degradation of computer operation since the removal....sort of like a regime change, the bad guy is out and there is no ill effect, only good.
