Gee, you think Clinton was having second thoughts about giving North Korea any sort of nuclear technology whatsoever?

Maybe so, but he would have never commited diplomatic blunders like labeling their leader a "pigmy dictator" nor labeling his country as a member of the "axis of evil". What purpose did that serve but to harden the man and create more tension in the world.

Time for economic sanctions. No wait ... the world would never stand for it, and innocent civilians will suffer while Kim Jong-Il continues to wine and dine like an emperor.

Well, frankly there is lots of empirical evidence that sanctions accomplish exactly nothing. Iraq is a prime example.
